Industrial
wastes sets specific characteristics, as each industry has its specialization
sector of operation. Therefore, every industry needs custom waste treatment and
management strategies for its sustainable operation. The objective of this
course is to prepare both environmental engineers and managers with theoretical
and practical skills to characterize, interpret and conduct waste abatement
activities in an industrial environment. While integrated way of handling
liquid, solid and gaseous emission from industries will be the major focus,
greater emphasis will be given to liquid pollution abatement and management.
