Dear Students,

As we strive to maintain a professional and conducive learning environment in our online classes, we would like to remind everyone of the proper Zoom etiquette you'll have during class sessions. Following these guidelines ensures a respectful and effective learning experience for everyone:

1. Display Your First Name_Last Name and Student ID
Your Zoom display name should follow this format: First Name_Last Name_Student ID (e.g., Inah_Bancoro_122551). This helps instructors and classmates identify you easily.

2. Turn On Your Camera
Please keep your camera on during the class to show respect to the instructor and your peers. If you are facing connectivity or privacy issues, please let your professor know beforehand.

3. Mute When Not Speaking
Remain muted unless you are asked to speak, need to participate, or are required by the professor. This helps minimize background noise and distractions.

4. Log In Early
Ensure you log into Zoom 5-10 minutes before the class starts to avoid disruptions and be ready when the session begins.

5. Prepare Your Environment
  • Choose a quiet, well-lit space for attending classes.
  • Use headphones if necessary to minimize external noise.
  • Ensure your background is appropriate, or use a virtual background if needed.
6. Stay Focused and Present
  • Avoid multitasking during the session. Give your full attention to the class.
  • Use the chat feature responsibly and only for class-related discussions.
7. Dress Appropriately
Wear attire suitable for a classroom setting. While you are at home, maintaining a professional appearance reflects respect for the class environment.

8. Have Necessary Materials Ready
Keep all required materials, such as textbooks, notes, or devices, accessible before the class begins to avoid unnecessary interruptions.

9. Technical Preparedness
  • Ensure your device is charged or plugged in.
  • Test your internet connection and Zoom setup beforehand.
  • Update your Zoom application regularly to avoid technical glitches.
10. Engage and Participate
Be proactive in discussions, raise questions when appropriate, and actively contribute to group activities.

By adhering to these guidelines, we can foster a productive and respectful learning atmosphere. If you have any concerns or require special accommodations, please don't hesitate to reach out
to your instructor or the coordinators.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to a successful online learning experience.

Best,
