The course discusses
a set of approaches for coordinating activities related to planning,
implementation, and control of goods and information flows in logistic networks
and supply chains in such a way that the total system wide cost is minimized
while satisfying the service level requirement.
The objective of this course is to impart to the students basic
knowledge on logistics & supply chain management, which includes key issues
on inventory control and management, supply contract, bullwhip effect and the
value of information sharing, distribution strategy, procurement strategy, and
pricing strategy
