Nature-based Solutions offer alternative and supplementary approaches to conventional wastewater treatment systems. By harnessing natural processes, they provide a sustainable water management solution with numerous co-benefits, including temperature regulation, carbon sequestration, biomass production, and ecosystem restoration, etc. The primary objective of this course is to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to various nature-based solutions in wastewater treatment and water pollution control. Additionally, the course aims to familiarize students with the diverse benefits and co-benefits of NbS beyond wastewater treatment, enhancing their understanding of how these solutions can contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
