    MOODLE is an open source web-based platform that provides a virtual learning environment (VLE).  It serves as a learning management system (LMS) by providing equivalent virtual access to classes, class content, tests, homework, grades, assessments, education tools and access to numerous external academic resources. The MOODLE can also serve as a social space where students and teachers are able to interact via threaded discussions or chat.

    Moddle is usually used online but may also be used on an 'intranet' within the Institute. Facultu can use Moodle to interact with students with messaging and ongoing discussion threads, sharing electronic files from documents to video, assignment management, and even taking advantage of computer assessed multiple choice quizzes to facilitate student acquisition of content.

Welcome to the Asian Institute of Technology's Virtual Learning Environment.

To create courses in Moodle you'll need to take a minute to create a new account for yourself as a new user on this web site. Here are the steps:

  1. Log in with your AIT username (without AIT domain) and password. Please be sure that your password must consist of at least 8 characters consisting of upper and lower case, digit and special characters except #
  2. Now, contact CLIQ in order to get the course creator permission at cliq@ait.asia.
  3. Enjoy sharing your course material.

To upload your course document: 
  1. Navigating to your courses at School/Program/Course
  2. Click to specific course, turn on the Edit mode at the top right of the screen
  3. Start uploading by creating your topics, assignments, videos... 
  4. Turn off the edit mode whenever you complete uploading.
To enroll your student:
  1. Navigate to your specific course under your program/school
  2. Go to the "Participant" icon at horizon top bar
  3. Click to Enroll User, type your student's email
  4. Assign role: Student.
  5. Click to "Save" at the bottom right corner.

Welcome to the Asian Institute of Technology's Virtual Learning Environment.

For full access to courses you'll need to take a minute to create a new account for yourself on this web site. Each of the individual courses will have "Self-enrolment key", which you will obtain from your instructor later. Here are the steps:

To create your Moodle account:

  1. Open AITVLE page
  2. At the top right of the page, you will see "log in", click to that.
  3. Fill your AIT's ID into Username, example: st122164 (WITHOUT AIT DOMAIN)
  4. Password: using exactly the one in your AIT mail. Please be sure that your password must consist of at least 8 characters consisting of upper and lower case, digit and special characters except #.
To enroll into your course(s):

  1. Contact your faculty to enroll in the course that you study. 
  2. If you are informed of 'enrolment key', insert the key and enter "enroll"
  3. You now have the access to the courses.

Self Enrollment Key

The following is a step by step guide to retrieve Moodle's Self  Enrollment Key of any moodle course:

  1. click the course name
  2. click turn editing on button
  3. click Course menu under Course Administration menu
  4. click Enrolment methods menu
  5. click Self enrolment (Student) edit icon
  6. Enrolment key is shown under Self Enrolment
  7. click Unmask check box to show the Enrollment key
